Music Ministry

Cantors

Cantors guide the community in worship as the primary song leader.  They are good examples of worshiping through song and encourage the active participation of the faithful in the singing.  Cantors are auditioned, trained and prepared by the Music Minister.

Children and Youth Choir

This choir is open to children and youth in grades 2nd - 8th.  They lead the faithful in singing at the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass.  Rehearsals are on Sundays in the church after the 11:00 am Mass starting in November from 12:10 pm-12:40 pm.

Parish Choir

The parish choir supports and enhances the melody line sung by the worshiping community.  They also may sing selections alone intended to enrich liturgy and reflect more deeply on the scripture readings or liturgical season.  The parish choir rehearses Thursday evenings in the church from 7:00 pm-8:30 pm.

Instrumentalists

Our instrumentalists, with their great range of expression, assist the cantor, choir, and community to sing at Mass by adding varied and colorful dimensions to the song of the worshiping community.  They rehearse alongside the choir on Thursday evenings.

For more information please contact our Music Minister, Matt Brady, at mattbrady@stannscc.org or stop by and talk with him after Mass.
